I would sincerely like to thank all members for your continued support for Australia Korea Business Council of WA over the past 12 months. Our council exists to serve our members and we believe in providing a service to help you network, find opportunities and learn more about the Australian-Korean market.
As the new financial year is now here, we once again ask for your generous support and commitment by renewing your Australia Korea Business Council of WA membership.
The AKBCWA successfully held and collaborated eight events over the past year. There were two particularly highlighted events. The Inaugural Korea - Western Australia Business Forum 2018: This event was the first collaborated organised event by AKBCWA, Invest KOREA, KOTRA and supported by Perth USAsia Centre, City of Perth and The Government of Western Australia. Another successful event was The Korea Business Roundtable. This event was co-hosted by the Department of Jobs, Tourism, Science and Innovation, in partnership with the Embassy of the Republic of Korea to the Commonwealth of Australia.
These two events were very productive for WA businesses interested in either learning more about or are currently active in Korea, whilst also looking at opportunities in creating new investment, export, and engagement with key stakeholders.
Through our activities over past 12 months (and beyond), our council has been successful in increasing our profile and significance within the WA business community. We created new opportunities to work and collaborate with significant WA-Korea focused organisations, including KOTRA and the Department of Jobs, Tourism, Science and Innovation.
Moving forward, the council is excited to announce a full schedule of events for the coming year. The events include the continuation of our popular leader’s lunch series, Korea Business Roundtable [or similar] event with the comprehensive format as well as our regular social networking events.
I look forward to your organisation’s continued support and encourage you to reach out to the AKBCWA to help us improve and better our business council.
