The AKBCWA would like to thank our members for attending the first Korea Business Roundtable event.
“Asia Business Series - Korea Business Roundtable” was hosted by the Department of Jobs, Tourism, Science and Innovation, in partnership with the Embassy of the Republic of Korea to the Commonwealth of Australia, the City of Perth and Australia Korea Business Council Western Australia (AKBCWA).
The event was held with the welcome remarks by Mr Young Yu, Chairman of AKBCWA, the Honorary Peter Tinley MLA, Minister for Asian Engagement and Fay Duda, Honorary Counsel for the Republic of Korea in Western Australia. Following the welcoming remarks, the presentations and panel discussions by the high-level officials from both countries governments, business and education sectors had in-death discussion on future economic opportunities in South Korea, Western Australia-South Korea trade relationship, and State and Commonwealth support for Western Australian business. The panel discussion was a follow-up with a Q&A session.
The event was a very fruitful for WA businesses interested in learning more about Korea or are currently active in Korea and also looking at opportunities in creating new investment, export, and engagement with key stakeholders.

It was great to see so many WA corporates and the Korean community participating this event with keen interest. Given the success of the event, AKBCWA will continue to looking the opportunity in the future with the comprehensive format.
